Radical privacy, military-grade security, zero marketing BS.
Built by a solo developer—and a passionate privacy community.
ZeroNote was launched in 2024 by Angus Uelsmann—developer, cryptography nerd, and privacy believer.
Honestly? I built ZeroNote because I never really trusted any other tool—and I'm a bit (okay, extremely) paranoid when it comes to privacy and security. I wanted something that even I would use without hesitation. If you're the kind of person who always assumes the worst, congratulations: so am I.
(Yes, I know how to break things. That's why I try extra hard to make them unbreakable.)
I live and work in Germany—the country that basically invented the GDPR (or at least acts like it did). Here, privacy isn't just a buzzword; it's practically a national sport. If you're wondering whether I take your data rights seriously... well, let's just say: I have no choice!
ZeroNote is designed, coded, and maintained by a single person—no corporate funding, no investor pressure, no marketing department. The “Team” in our footer is a nod to open-source contributors, security researchers, and every user who cares about privacy.
Privacy is a human right. ZeroNote was born out of frustration with the data leaks, backdoors, tracking scripts, and legal loopholes of mainstream “secure” apps. Here, zero-knowledge means zero compromise.
All code is open-source and available on GitHub. Audits, penetration tests, and public scrutiny are not just welcome—they’re essential. If you’re a developer, researcher, or privacy fan, join in!
